J. Lye – Compete Until Success

Today I have the deput mixtape by Boston’s J. Lye. In the past couple of months, his has been putting in work with releasing new material. He got to perform at Boston’s “Collegefest” with some big names in the college rap scene. On Nov 17th, hes going to be opening for Dipset , Roscoe Dash , Meek Mill , and DJ Drama. Compete Until Success contains the previously posted “Gone”, Lyes and J.Lye’s remix of “Im On One.” The mixtape also features a lot of other really good songs. Cliff Notez – Hands Up (For the Weirdos)

Here’s a new single by Cliff Notez, which as the title would imply has sort of a strange feel. For this song, Cliff goes in over RJD2′s “GhostWriters” and really adds to the vibe to of the song. The video for this also includes the lyrics which helps show off Cliff Notez skills as a lyricist. So check it out and like him on facebook to stay up on his new stuff.

G-Eazy – The Coolest Job

So G-Eazy just out this song for the sake of putting out song. For a “throwaway” this song is pretty sick. As usual, G-Eazy handles the verses as well as the producing.  He’s been on a kick of using real out there samples lately, like “Run Around Sue” and “Mercedes Benz“. With this one Mary Poppin’s “Chim Chime Cheree” which really awesome. G-Eazy is about to go on tour next week with Shwayze and MOD SUN, so look out for him to coming to your area and check out this song.

Drake – Marvin’s Room (DanielofSparta remix)

Alittle while ago I got some remixes sent to me done by an up and coming producer who goes by the name DanielofSparta. Here’s a little bit about him:

“Daniel Simmons, producing as DanielofSparta, is a Media Writing and Production major at the University of Miami. With influences ranging from Skrillex to hip hop producer Boi 1da, Daniel leverages his classical music training to create high impact dubstep remixes with an original, studio produced sound — and enough hard drops to rock any club.”

All the songs I heard by him were real good, and this remix of Drake’s “Marvins Room” is my favorite out of the bunch. This kid has a lot of talent and expect some big things from him in the future. Definitely give this song a listen and check out other remixes by DanielofSparta on his soundcloud.

Adam Reverie – Dreamin with my N**gas

Today I got a song from artist out of Detroit, named Adam Reverie. He’s getting ready for the release of his debut mixtape , LoveTheWayISeeIt, which will be out on Halloween. Matt Clarke ft. KAM Royal & Rachel Adams – Don’t Go

Sick new song by a couple of BlackBook Music Group affiliates. Matt Clarke and KAM Royal lay down some strong verses and Rachel Adams breaks it up with a soft, emotional chorus. The Two Friends really killed it with the production, with the sample of Augustana’s Boston. Definitely check this one out…
